Men’s Health Week 2025: sexual health

This year’s Men’s Health Week runs between 9-15 June and we wanted to take this opportunity to share information about a topic that is often overlooked: sexual health.

Men’s Health Week is an annual event hosted by the Men’s Health Forum. The event is dedicated to raising awareness about men’s health and encouraging all men to seek help to address any health concerns that they may be experiencing. This year, the campaign is calling for a Men’s Health Strategy.

In light of this event, we wanted to focus on an important topic that’s sometimes disregarded: sexual health.

One of the best ways to take care of yourself (and your partners) is to stay safe and educated about your sexual health, whether you’re dating, in a relationship, or just enjoying life on your own terms.

C-Card Scheme

The C-Card Condom Distribution Scheme offers free, confidential access to condoms for young people aged 13-24 in London and Surrey.  This programme is designed to support safer sexual health for young people.

Many youth organisations, pharmacies and GP practices are part of the C-Card scheme.

PrEP

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a medication you can take to protect yourself from HIV. It’s a great option if you’re at higher risk and want extra peace of mind.

More information on PrEP is available on the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital website, with the option to book an appointment at the John Hunter Sexual Health Clinic.

You can also visit CWNL Sexual Health Services  to find out how to whether PrEP is the right option for you, testing and more in your area.

Already using PrEP? Ensure you stay up to date with your check-ups and reorders, with quick online bookings allowing you to keep everything running smoothly.

Where can I get further support?

This week, CNWL Sexual Health Services is running the following events to answer any questions you may have:

  • Wednesday 11 June: Migrant centre online Men's group Black African Black Caribbean and Other Minority Groups
  • Thursday 12 June: Conway House Men’s only Hostel

How does sharing your views make a difference?

You might think your feedback doesn’t have the power to change how health and social care services run. We want to show you how that isn’t the case.
