Mental Health Awareness Week 2025: Community

Mental Health Foundation has been leading Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK since 2001, to campaign for the importance of good mental health. We at Healthwatch share this commitment to empowering and strengthening community ties.
Local events to mark Mental Health Awareness Week
- Hyde Park walk – Friday 17 May, 1pm – 3pm
This 5km walk by ‘The Mindfulness Gym’ is a space for open conversations, shared stories, and simple connection. As you walk together, you'll also talk about mental health challenges, resilience, and how each of you can help spread awareness and support those around you.

Join ‘Same But Different’s’ 5k run celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week and the power of movement, connection, and community. All levels welcome.

Talking Therapies services have organised pop up events that you can visit for free. Have a free chat with a wellbeing practitioner, they can help discuss your worries or anxious feelings. They include:
